Preparing Your Shed Sample

1. Wash your hands thoroughly or put on clean gloves to avoid contamination.
2. Ensure your snake has completed shedding and remove the shed from the enclosure as soon as possible.
3. Unroll the shed and allow it to fully dry for 24-48 hours.

Packaging the Shed Sample

1. Wash your hands thoroughly or put on clean gloves to avoid contamination.
2. From your dried shed, cut an approximate quarter-size piece of clean shed.
3. Place the shed in a clean dry plastic bag.
4. Seal the bag securely.
5. Attach the provided QR code with the Animal ID# to the plastic bag (tape/staple).
6. With a permanent marker, write the Animal ID# on the plastic bag.

Shipping Your Shed Sample

1. Place all collected packaged samples in the mailer/box.
2. Obtain a delivery shipping label (not provided).
